MEETING MINUTES
March 11, 2021
Thursday 6:30 pm
10154 W Lake Drive

In person Attendance:
John Gaudio, Madonna Gaudio, Joe Nicholl, Liana Nicholl
Phone In Attendance:
Eric Meyer, Tim Larson, Lauren Alman, Sharon Hilderbrant (called in later)

1.  The meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm.  A Quorum was reached.  Dues were paid for each household making them able to vote on agenda items coming before the membership.

2.  Madonna Gaudio agreed to take minutes for the meeting.

3.  A list of attendees was created, including contact information.

4.  A motion was made by Liana Nicholl, seconded by Eric Meyer that John Gaudio run the meeting.  No discussion.  Motion passed.

5.  Discussion was had on the procedure to elect new candidates for the board.  All candidates must meet the following two criteria:  1) Be a homeowner in Westbury and 2) Be a member in good standing (paid 2021 dues of $20.)  A motion was made by Joe Nicholl, seconded by Eric Meyer to conduct the elections as in the past. ie.
• Run short candidate bio in the Association Press;  (Bios due to Madonna at madonna@gaudio.com by March 18th);
• Include space for write-ins on the ballot form;
No further discussion was had. Motion passed unanimously.

6.  Nominations were opened for the following positions, and following candidates accepted the nomination:
• President:  John Gaudio
• Vice President:  Initially open, after the meeting had adjourned, Lianna Nicholl expressed interest in serving in this capacity
• Secretary:  Madonna
• Treasurer:
• Board Member at large:  Tim Larson
• Board Member at large:  Joe Nicholl
• Board Member at large:  Sharon Hilderbrant

7.  Discussion was had on leaving nominations open so additional persons can be added.  A motion was made (Madonna) to accept additional names of nominees up to March 18th.   Motion seconded by Liana.  Motion passed unanimously. 
8.  NEWSLETTER Logistics.  The newsletter is delivered the 1st week of each month.  Articles are due to the editor by the 20th of the preceding month.  John agreed to coordinate the (one paragraph) bios and get them to the publisher by the 20th.  All candidates are to get their respective bios to madonna@gaudio.com by March 18th.

9.  Discussion of upcoming agenda items included events the neighborhood association would sponsor in 2021.  Ballots will be counted and new officers installed at the April general membership meeting.  Madonna agreed to write an article for the newsletter highlighting past events and soliciting for future event ideas.  Past events include:
• Neighborhood Spring cleanup
• Easter Egg Hunt
• Summer b-bque
• National Night Out
• Neighborhood Garage Sale/Dumpster drop
• Neighborhood Fall Cleanup
• Christmas Party
The comment was made that the Dumpster drop weekend provides a good opportunity to collect dues from homeowners.

10.  A motion was made and seconded (Eric/Lianna) for the next general membership meeting to be held Tuesday, April 13th.  This date will be added to the newsletter.

11.  With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:40 pm.
